This service is provided to help our customers come into compliance with OSHA Standards. This is accomplished by reviewing existing safety programs and observing installations and modifications of equipment. A walkthrough of the facility and equipment will be used to create a final report. That report will help in future projects.

2023 National Electrical Code – 32 Hours

This four day course is designed to advance your ability to locate, interpret, and apply requirements in the ever-evolving NEC. You will gain the knowledge that will help you comply with requirements and have confidence in your ability to recognize potential problems. Help ensure safe and compliant electrical installation and design and avoid rework and violations with the ability to analyze the electrical needs for a given scenario and correctly apply the requirements in the NEC.

Course objectives include:
Navigate the NEC to find applicable requirements for an electrical installation.
Examine the requirements of the NEC as they relate to the safety of an electrical installation.
Determine the calculated load as well as applicable feeder and service demand factors.
Determine the dimensions of required access and working spaces about equipment.
Determine general requirements for sizing and installing service, feeder, branch circuit conductors, and overcurrent protection.
Select and size key elements of the building grounding and bonding system.
Determine the minimum raceway size for a given set of conductors.

Programmable Logic Controllers Maintenance & Troubleshooting – 40 Hours

This course is designed to provide the participant with a basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC), as well as maintenance and troubleshooting techniques necessary to keep equipment online.
It is recommended that participants have a good understanding of relay logic and electric control circuitry print reading. The attendee should have attended our Basic Electrical/Electronics and our Electrical Control Circuitry courses prior to attending.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
Understand how peripheral devices are connected to the PLC
Interpret field wiring connections to input/output (IO) Modules
Interpret PLC ladder logic and scan cycle
Use software instructions for programming techniques
Correctly and safely use Force commands
Modify existing logic including timers, counters, etc.
Perform actual wiring of peripheral IO devices to their related modules
Establish communications with PLC using RSLinx
Troubleshoot software and hardware

Electrical Motor Controls & Circuitry – 40 Hours

This hands-on course is intended for new or experienced electricians and technicians that install, maintain, repair, or troubleshoot control circuitry. Students will learn effective troubleshooting techniques enabling them to: ensure the correct operation of the control scheme, reduce repair times and identify problems in control circuits from the manufacturer. Class participants will learn to design basic ladder diagrams for motor control circuits. They will then apply that knowledge by wiring and troubleshooting control circuitry on the simulators.

Upon successful completion of the class the student will be able to:
Identify symbols associated with various control devices.
Know how to properly apply wire numbering.
Properly use a multimeter to troubleshoot circuitry.
Understand circuit logic and interpret ladder logic.
Effectively modify existing circuitry.

Basic Electricity/Electronics training course is a general introduction to industrial electrical systems. The course teaches a basic understanding of how electrical equipment and systems operate in industrial, commercial and institutional facilities. Students will be presented with practical, real-world examples that illustrate how power is distributed and used in plants and facilities.
The course will also deal with “Working with Industrial Electricity” – discussions and activities focus on real-world, everyday electrical tasks performed on the job.
This Basic Electricity/Electronics training course is designed to meet the training needs of those new to the electrical maintenance field of the daily troubleshooting of industrial electrical equipment. It is appropriate for electrical maintenance personnel in need of a review of electrical basics and an introduction to more complicated industrial electrical systems, integration, and electrical test equipment. The course is also ideal for mechanical maintenance personnel that has responsibility for plant electrical maintenance activities. This Basic Electricity/Electronics training course can be customized to specific components, test equipment, and documentation.
Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
Explain the basic concepts of AC and DC electrical current flow.
Calculate voltage, wattage, resistance, current and power factor values.
Select appropriate test equipment for taking voltage measurements.
Interpret multi-meter readings.
